WHAT WE LEARNED

Until Jesus comes back to make this world “very good” again, we get to be on mission as we show and tell others about how incredible and awesome Jesus is. In Matthew 28, Jesus tells us that he will send a helper to us, the Holy Spirit. Even though we can’t see him, we can see what he’s doing. He helps us shine like the stars; showing how awesome God is until the new creation (heaven) where the things that are invisible now, will be made visible.

SONGS! SNACKS! and MORE!

Memory Verse

Colossians 1:15-16 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth; the visible and the invisible… all things have been created through him and for him.

Tomorrow at Family Fun Night, we’ll announce how much $ the kids raised to provide backpacks of school essentials for kids in our own neighborhoods (Porter County). And we’ll see how wins Money Wars: the boys or the girls! Learn more >

TALK ABOUT IT

Here are the questions we talked about in snack time. Ask your child(ren) the questions and get a conversation going at home!

1. What was the mission that Jesus gave his disciples, and us, before he went back to Heaven?
Answer: To make more disciples and tell everyone everywhere about how they can be rescued by Jesus.

2. The Holy Spirit helps us to be disciples. Even though we can’t see him, we know he is working. How do we know is at work in our lives?
Answer: He helps us follow Jesus. He reminds us of God’s word. He gives us peace when things are hard.

3. Review the Gospel Symbols; what they mean and the verse for each one.

Once we grab on to Jesus, we are his disciples and we are told to tell others the good news about him. We don’t have to do this alone! God sent us the Holy Spirit who gives us the courage and strength to follow him.
