WHAT WE LEARNED
We can see what God is like by looking at his beautiful creation. Genesis 1 tells us that it was “very good” but when Adam & Even disobeyed God, sin entered and messed everything up. God knew what would happen and he had a rescue plan.

TALK ABOUT IT
Here are the questions we talked about in snack time. Ask your child(ren) the questions and get a conversation going at home!
1. What are some good things that God created and gave us?
Answer: For example, the sun to keep us warm, air to breathe, beautiful things, people who love us, etc.
2. When God made the world, he said it was “very good” but the world today is full of bad things like sadness, sickness, and even death. What happened that changed the world from good to “messed up?”
Answer: Adam and Eve chose their own way over God’s way and disobeyed him when the ate the fruit God had told them not to eat.
3. What were the consequences for Adam and Eve when they disobeyed God?
Answer: They had to leave the garden and would eventually die.
4. What are the consequences for us?
Answer: We are all born sinners and are separated from God.
Sin messed up God’s perfect creation, and the worst thing is that we can’t fix this sin problem on our own. But God is good and had a rescue plan right from the beginning. Not because we deserve it, but because he loves us.
