5:30p activities & vendors open
6:30p worship service begins
God loves people and he loves this city. But how would someone know that unless they hear? Unless they see? On this summer Saturday night, we’re bringing church to downtown Valparaiso because we want to celebrate the hope that we have in Jesus and invite others to know more about him out too. There are NO Sunday services at Calvary on Sunday, June 2.
What you can do
Plan a picnic with family & friends - Pre-order a boxed meal from a local restaurant (scroll down) and pick it up before the event. Or bring your own and hang out in the park.
Enjoy the music - The CalvaryLive worship band is curating a play list for the evening so the park is full of worship music even before the worship service begins.
Play and meet up with others - Bring games or outdoor activities from home and invite others to join you. Plus families can enjoy the special activities set up for kids: bounce houses, face painting, and more!
Who you’ll see
Local outreach partners! - Several of our local partners are joining us for the evening. They’ll have booths set up where you can learn more about the work they do caring for people in our community. We love these organizations and support the invaluable work they do. Plus find out how you can serve! Scroll down to see who’s coming on June 1.
During the worship service, you’ll see a few people talk about how God has changed them because they served the vulnerable in our city with one of these partner organizations. We are blessed to be a blessing.
Drop by the booths where our local partners are sharing more about the work they do and how you can help!
Or visit their website to learn more today.
What if it rains?
Check back here and on Calvary social media for possible weather-related cancellation information on Saturday, June 1. If we have to cancel the Summer Kickoff, we’ll have 3 regular services at Calvary Church on Sunday, June 2 at 8:15a, 9:45a, and 11:15a.
