Missions Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Missions & Outreach
Start Date: December 2025, if possible
Schedule: 25 hours per week; occasional weekends and evenings as required

Position Summary
Work as part of the Missions & Outreach Staff Team to promote ministry activities and help facilitate the expansion of ministry as we increase the long-term engagement of the congregation with missions. This position works closely with the Director of Missions & Outreach and is predominantly administrative.

Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinator – General Requirements
Plan and coordinate ministry events, programs, and weekly gatherings.
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for ministry roles.
Maintain systems and processes for communication, scheduling, and follow-up.
Manage ministry-specific communication with participants.
Track ministry participation and provide reports/updates to leadership.
Oversee logistics, supplies, and resources for effective ministry environments.
Support the Director in implementing vision and strategies.
This role may involve serving across multiple Calvary campuses, requiring collaboration, flexibility, and alignment with our multi-site model.
Coordinator – Job Specific Requirements
Oversee all GO Team trip details and execution, using Go Method trip platform
Trip parameters and set-up
Applications and documentation
Calendar scheduling of team training/GO Team events/debriefs
Communication with team leaders and members
Train team leaders to use Go Method
Oversee communication with partner organizations regarding trips
Work alongside and support Team Leaders with trip logistics
Establish and track fundraising goals
Communicate trip information with staff and congregation
Oversee all trip accounts.
Liaise with DMO regarding care and oversight of team members and leaders.
Coordinate Risk Assessments & Emergency Response Plans for each trip in collaboration with Director of Administration & HR.
Coordinate Missions events and initiatives, including Outside the Walls Training
Coordinate yearly calendar of events and trips in collaboration with the DMO, Go Teams Council, Administration and Communications teams.
Attend weekly team meetings and quarterly GO Team Council meetings.
Work with the DMO to oversee and track the M&O budget and partner support.
Oversee logistics of visits from Missions Partners and Missionaries, including scheduling, communications, accommodation and transportation as needed.
Provide ministry updates for inclusion in media for the Missions Wall in the Commons, social media and the website.
Write the monthly Missions & Outreach Newsletter in collaboration with the DMO & the Local Outreach Coordinator.
Work to grow our connections with other staff teams in seeking a greater level of engagement in missions from the congregation, including Small Groups.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Missions, Ministry, Communications, or a related field); an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
2-4 years of experience in administrative coordination, event planning, or ministry support – preferably within a church, nonprofit, or missions organization.
Experience working with volunteers and coordinating group logistics (travel, scheduling, communication).
High-capacity organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database or project management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Work Schedule
Typical hours: 25 Hours per week in the office, Monday through Thursday.
Must be available for weekends/evenings as needed.

Effective at managing communication between staff, teams, volunteers, and participants.
Some experience with budgeting and resource management.
