I am a curious person and like to solve problems, which comes in handy for the work I do at Calvary. I’m constantly amazed that despite worldly barriers such as language, geography, culture and persecution, the message of salvation through Christ continues to spread.

I grew up in the Roman Catholic tradition and always felt a deep love for the Lord. But in 2007, when my son began attending a weekly Calvary children’s program with a friend, I began examining the scripture he was learning. My husband and I started attending Calvary and were immediately affected by the expositional teaching. My relationship with God and the way I viewed life began to change. I am now constantly renewed by his love and truth and feel grounded in the confidence of my creator.

I joined Calvary’s staff in 2016 after 18 years as a speech-language pathologist, where I worked with individuals and their families to overcome communication deficits. Those relationships taught me the importance and power of connecting with one another in community. I still believe communication and community are keys to overcoming barriers when sharing the love of Christ. I love what Rollo May says: “Communication leads to community, that is, to understanding, intimacy, and mutual valuing.”

My husband Steve, who works in the technology industry, and I have two great kids. They have grown up surrounded by a community of believers at Calvary, who have encouraged them and spoken truth into their lives each step of the way. Steve and I really enjoy supporting our kid’s activities: sports, music, and travel. And, of course, we love to follow our alma mater, the Purdue University Boilermakers!
