giving at calvary church

At Calvary, we believe that God has called each person to decide how much to give, and to do so sacrificially, faithfully, and cheerfully, while remembering that He rewards generosity.

We also believe that Scripture teaches the portion-plus principle:  Decide on a portion to give regularly, and on occasion, give a little more.

giving options through Calvary Church

Calvary Church is pleased to offer several convenient, secure giving methods. Consider taking advantage of these options as you give to the Lord sacrificially, faithfully, and cheerfully through the ministry of Calvary Church.

1. Online Giving

This safe and flexible option is the most convenient way to give at Calvary.  This method allows you to schedule a recurring gift or designate a one-time gift simply by using your debit card or credit card.

2. In Person

Make your check payable to Calvary Church and drop it in the offering plate that is passed during each service.  When giving cash, if you prefer your gift to be tracked as a tax-deductible donation, you will need to furnish an envelope and clearly write your name and mailing address on the outside of the envelope. You may also drop a check off at the office Monday-Friday during regular office hours.

3. Online Billpay

Many individuals have set up Calvary Church in their online banking bill-pay service, in which their banking institution sends a check to Calvary Church. When using this method, you can note your account as "General Fund", "Building Fund”, or “Compassion Fund".  Use Calvary's business address: 1325 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.  Make sure your online banking service includes your name and address on the check to receive proper contribution credit.

Will I receive a record of my contributions?

Yes. Calvary Church automatically mails an annual Record of Contributions for charitable giving tax purposes to those who contribute in excess of $1000 annually and to anyone else who requests a statement.  Records of Contributions will be mailed to your home address.

Is online giving secure?

We've partnered with our web provider AMDesign and our online Merchant Account provider, Heartland Payment Systems, to take steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end.   All your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet.  It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
