Preparing Men to Win the Battle...In early May of 2007, the Men's Ministry Team began meeting to construct an environment that God could use to produce disciples. The team of visionaries understood the fact that Calvary had a Men's Ministry for many years: the men of our church were involved in Awana, ushering, sound tech ministries, worship team, youth, Sunday school, mission trips, nursery and many other ministries! Now it was time to formally put together a program where men could become disciples of Christ--they could walk with Christ, live like Christ, and work for Him! We want to help men understand what it takes to be a godly husband, a godly father, and a godly man. We want to encourage men to be the best that they can, actively leading their families, church, community and world! Our Men's Ministry is going to help men develop meaningful relationships with other men, thereby improving marriages, families, and community relationships. We plan to reach out to the men of our church, our friends, and neighbors with a diversity of events such as adventure trips, small groups, Bible studies, service projects, BBQ's, seminars, retreats, and many more. |
