"And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24-25 NASB
Why Covenant Groups?
During Jesus’ earthly ministry he selected a small group of men to be with him in order to train them for future church leadership. Naturally we believe that Jesus was on to something. In fact, we are convinced that growth, change and spiritual formation all take place in the context of community. And we also think that authentic community is best accomplished through small groups. At Calvary we call our small groups: Covenant Groups.
What are Covenant Groups? People at all places in their spiritual journeys who come together for the purpose of cultivating spiritual growth that demonstrates Christ’s love and purposes to further His kingdom. Through study, encouragement, accountability, cousel, and prayer, members experience growth and life transformation through Jesus Christ.
