Knute aids in the pulpit ministry and serves as co-teacher with Pastor Lionel, in addition to coaching the pastoral staff. He was the former Senior Pastor of The Chapel in Akron, Ohio, a position he held for over 25 years. He teaches graduate courses for Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has written several books, including You Decide: Five Beliefs That Change My Life, The Great Human Race, and two commentaries for Holman. He graduated from both Grace College and Grace Seminary and earned a DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Family: wife Jeanine since 1962; two married daughters, Elise and Alison; three grandchildren.
Biggest influence: Grandmother Rosa, who taught and modeled love and mercy.
