opportunities to serve

Will you join us in building up the next generation for Christ?  We are looking for men and women of all ages who are excited to partner with our parents and influence the spiritual journey of the kids in our church.  What will you do in this coming year to make a difference in the lives of the kids in our church?

At Calvary, we require everyone who works with children to fill out a volunteer application and submit to a background check.  If you are a new volunteer, please download and print the form by clicking here.  Once you have finished filling out the form, please turn it in to the church office.

sunday morning

nursery ministry

  • Interact and spend time with infants-toddler aged children while building community with fellow volunteers
  • No weekly preparation required.

preschool teachers

  • Develop relationships with 2-5 year olds as they discover the stories of the Bible and enjoy fun activities.
  • 30-60 minutes each week preparation required - curriculum provided.

classroom assistants

  • Assist the teachers with prepared lessons and activities while developing relationships with 2 year olds-5th graders as they discover the truths of the Bible.
  • No weekly preparation required.

rock solid kids [k-5th grade]

  • Small Group Leaders will connect with and mentor kids in a small group setting.
  • Large Group Leaders are outgoing, fun, up-front people who makes the Bible come alive each week teaching and organizing large group time.
  • Sound/Tech volunteers will properly run power point and/or sound on Sunday mornings for large group time.
  • JUMP Crew (Jesus Use Me Please) is comprised of kids, teens and adults alike who have a passion for leading kids in an exciting time of worship on Sunday mornings.
  • Prep: Various based on position.

children's welcome center

  • Greeters help, welcome and check-in children on Sunday mornings.
  • Runners are friendly faces waiting to help first time visitors to the various classrooms.

 

    seasonal ministries

    awana

    • Awana leaders encourage children to memorize and recite scripture every week.
    • Weekly preparation varies.

    vacation bible school

    Activity Group Leaders

    • Crafts
    • Music
    • Story Time
    • Games/Memory Verse
    • Snacks

    Children's Group Leaders: Primary responsibilities are to form relationships with kids and help them with the various activities

    • 5 year olds
