A water zip line, swimming, the blob, archery, an aqua tramp, boating, the “spit wad” waterslide, cliff zip, Challenge Mountain, and a creek walk are just some of the exciting things that kids do at Twin Lakes Junior Camp. Twin Lakes Middle School campers also enjoy mountain bikes, a climbing tower, and paintball.
And because assisting the local church in making disciples of Jesus Christ is the mission of Twin Lakes Camp (TLC), missionary & Bible chapels, morning devotions, discussions, Bible studies, drama, testimonies, music, campfires and the Christian witness of staff and counselors are also part of each camper’s day.
Any child entering grade 3 or above (Fall 2010) can attend camp. Junior Camps are for kids entering 3rd-6th grade in the fall; Middle School Camps are for kids entering 6th-8th grade in the fall. High School Camps for teens entering 9th-12th grade are also available! Your child’s friend or relative may also attend camp – be sure to pick up an extra registration form!
If you would like to send your child to Twin Lakes Junior Camp 4, please complete the registration form and return it with a check (payable to Calvary Church) for your portion due. (The church will send one check to TLC for the total amount due from all campers registered for Junior Camp 4.) Registration forms and payment are due at the church no later than March 31. Please return them only to Josh Reasoner or Carleen Gensel.
Please note that there is an early registration discount ($15) if fee is paid by March 31st. The "Multiple Children Discount" is a $20 discount for each child after the 1st child (in the same immediate family) attending any Twin Lakes Junior, Middle, or High School camp.
Parents should send their child’s registration directly to the camp for any week other than Junior Camp 4, or for registrations completed after March 31. Please let us know, however, if your child will be using church transportation to Junior Camp 4 or if your child is eligible for an Awana camp scholarship (we will need a copy of the registration form).
Registration forms can be picked up at Calvary’s Info Desk beginning in early 2010. Forms are also located in the Twin Lakes Camp 2010 brochure. You may also register online or print a registration form.
Although camp has nothing to do with our Awana program, Calvary Church will provide a $100 Awana scholarship to camp to those 2nd-6th grade children finishing an entire Awana handbook (or an equivalent amount of sections in successive handbooks) this year. A full scholarship is available to current 6th graders who will successfully complete all four 3rd-6th grade Awana handbooks over the last four years. The scholarship is made available for any week at Twin Lakes or Spring Hill camps.
If your child is planning to attend a week other than TLC Junior Camp 4 and is eligible for an Awana scholarship, please submit a copy of your registration form to Josh Reasoner or Carleen Gensel in order to receive reimbursement for the scholarship. Please contact Awana Commander Josh Reasoner (462.4026 or email ) for more information.
Calvary Church will again be providing transportation to and from Twin Lakes Camp for the week of August 9-14, 2010 (Junior Camp 4). Parents of campers will be contacted this summer regarding when to drop off and pick up your child at Calvary Church for Junior Camp 4. Parents are responsible for registering and transporting children for all weeks other than Junior Camp 4.
More information, including the Twin Lakes Camp “What to Bring List”, is located online at www.twinlakescamp.com.
